After Christmas

Thought that these Kaleidoscope designs would brighten up the day, and remind us all of the beauty of the images transformed in this way. These were made from original colorized diatom and dinoflagellate images.

A New Face

Digital colorization of an electron microscopic image of a diatom - Tirceratium.

I like the perspective of this creature, and the floating dimensional feeling that it imparts.

One Of The Newest Awards

Just found out that our image, "Push Me-Pull Me", was selected as a new feature in 'Underwater Creatures' at RedBubble.  This is nice recognition for a really interesting image.  You can view all the images available at RedBubble by clicking on the icon image in the side bar at the right.

Holiday Gift Giving

Tote found @ CafePress
The Exhibit Catalog makes an excellent gift for anyone interested in diatoms, dinoflagellates, or microscopic marine life in general.  These images have been digitally colorized by me over a period of 4+ years.  Those in the catalog/exhibit, represent select images from a large library.  Some of them can also be viewed on Flickr.  Both the catalog and Flickr can be accessed in the side-bar at the right of this column.  You can also purchase select gifts from CafePress - our little store.

Not Forgotten

The dinoflaellate genus Protoceratium - 'Scales and Shells II'
In looking through my files, I saw this image, and realized that I should post it.  It is the alternative colorization of the red version that is the most popular image in the collection.  Somehow, I like this one very much too.  Hard to decide which one I like better.  It is also available for purchase as a print.
